Here is a quick and easy guide to managing Wingman's real-time cues and alerts while screen sharing on a video call.

If you're using Wingman on a Windows computer:

  • Share the window you need to, instead of sharing your entire desktop. Only you will be able to see the cues.

  • If you share your entire desktop, the cue cards will appear as a black box to the other call participants but will cover up any underlying content on your screen. So, make sure to place your content accordingly.

If you're using Wingman on a Mac computer:

  • Share the window you need to, instead of sharing your entire desktop. Only you will be able to see the cues.

  • If you share your entire desktop, the cues may be visible depending on what video conferencing tool + type (app or on browser) you are using. Please see the table below for all these scenarios and our recommendations.

In short, the best practice is to share only the window you need to during a video call. Alternatively, in case of the cues being visible, you can disable them during screen sharing for that particular call. Wingman will still record your call.
